The formation of the Public Sector Engineers Special Interest Group (PSESIG) had already been approved by the 378th Council meeting of the IEM held on 18 July 2011.

The objective of this PSESIG is to provide input to the Council on service matters affecting engineers in the public sector.

Other objectives of this PSESIG are:-

•    To reflect the views and aspirations of members involved in the public sector.

•    To disseminate to members the latest engineering development affecting the public sector.

•    To carry out activities relating to the upgrading of professional practice amongst the members in the Public Sector Engineers Special Interest Group.

The PSESIG is therefore would like to invite all eligible members to join them and to get involved in its activities.

This gathering to set up the Protem Committee will be held at the Wisma IEM on Thursday, 8 September 2011 at 5.30 pm.

The agendas for the meeting are as follows:-

1)    Election of Protem Committee Members
2)    Discussion and finalisation of the Rules of the PSESIG
3)    Registration of members to the PSESIG
4)    Other matters arising and any other matters
