SYNOPSIS
The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming data centre infrastructure, driving unprecedented demands for power density, energy efficiency and operational reliability. Traditional power architectures face increasing challenges in supporting high-performance AI workloads, particularly with next-generation GPU platforms and rack power densities.
This session explores innovative power distribution architectures to address these challenges through improved power conversion efficiency, reduced electrical losses, simplified distribution and enhanced scalability. It also examines key design considerations, safety requirements and integration opportunities across the data centre power ecosystem, highlighting how future-ready power architectures can enable sustainable, resilient and high-density AI infrastructure.
BIODATA OF SPEAKER
MR. LEING CHUEN FONG (JOHN)
Mr. Leing Chuen Fong (John) has over 11 years of experience in the design, consultancy and project management of mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems for mission-critical data centres since 2011.
His expertise covers end-to-end project delivery including low-voltage (LV) power systems, HVAC, precision cooling, fire protection, DCIM/BMS/EMS systems. He also possesses specialized technical knowledge of UPS, lithium battery systems, air-, water-, and liquid-cooled precision cooling solutions, intelligent containment systems, prefabricated data centre solutions and data centre infrastructure management (DCIM).
