SYNOPSIS
Energy management begins with a simple engineering question: Where does the energy go?
Drawing from the fundamentals of energy, work, efficiency and energy loss, this talk explores how engineers and energy managers analyse systems, identify losses and improve performance-and asks whether the same disciplined thinking can be applied to our own lives.
The session explores Energy Transformation, Entropy (The Silent Drain), Inertia, Action–Reaction and Invisible Fields as practical lenses for understanding how our energy is directed, consumed, lost and transformed in everyday life.
What will you take away?
Participants will gain a practical foundation for thinking about energy management beyond machines and facilities - from identifying energy losses and inefficiencies to directing energy towards useful and meaningful outcomes. The session introduces a pathway from understanding energy to developing the awareness, discipline and practices that can lead towards greater personal effectiveness, efficiency and ultimately mastery.
As a Registered Energy Manager (REM T2), Professional Energy Manager (PEM) and a trainer with IEMTA Energy Managers Courses, Ir. Al-Khairi brings practical experience in energy management and engineering systems to explore a question that extends beyond the conventional boundaries of the profession:
“If we know how to manage energy in systems, can we learn to manage where our own energy goes?”
This session provides the foundation. Mastery begins with application.
MANAGE WHERE YOUR ENERGY GOES. Make it useful. Make it purposeful. Make it a practice.
And notice the silent drain.
