SYNOPSIS
Operations Readiness and Assurance (ORA) provides a structured, risk-based approach to ensure facilities are fully prepared for safe, reliable, efficient, and sustainable operations from the first day of start-up. This presentation explores how ORA connects project delivery with operational excellence across the entire lifecycle, from concept and design through construction, commissioning, start-up, handover, and stabilisation. It highlights the chemical engineer’s role in process operability, process safety, control systems, asset integrity, chemical management, environmental performance, and production optimisation. Participants will gain practical insights from oil and gas terminal and floating production operations, including how ORA reduces start-up risks, improves reliability, supports compliance, and strengthens long-term performance.
