Who Should Attend?
All graduate members with more than 3 years' experience are encouraged to attend the workshop and to apply for the Professional Interview thereafter to become Corporate Member of IEM (MIEM), which is a gateway towards Professional Engineer in Malaysia and International PE/ APEC/ ASEAN Engineer Register.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the workshop, the participants should:
• Have clear understanding of the requirements for PI 2.0 submission. • Be able to complete the frameworks for the Training & Experience Report as well as Technical Annexe (for further elaboration and submission).
BIODATA OF SPEAKERS
1) Ir. Mohd Taufik bin Salleh
Ir. Mohd Taufik bin Haji Salleh hold a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from University Technology of Malaysia (UTM) in 1993.
He is a professional engineer registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia and currently is the Chief Operating Officer of Indah Water Konsortium Sdn. Bhd. With more than 30 years of working experiences, Ir. Taufik has been involved in the infrastructures development in water and sewerage industry locally and internationally particularly in the areas of planning, designs, standards development, quality control, environmental & safety management, research & development, capacity building and operation & maintenance.
He is also an active member of The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia and is currently Committee Member of Membership Applications Board (MAB) and the Sub Committee on Professional Interview Development (PID).
2) Ir. Lee Cheng Pay
Ir. Lee Cheng Pay had dedicated the last 14 years of his career to an Engineering Consultancy upon his graduation from University of Malaya. When he was an engineer in two medium-scale Consultancy Firm, he has established his technical skills in various projects by having vast exposure to many large-scale Electrical System. He was involved in various types of industries including Residential, Factories, Shopping Complex, Data Centre, Government Project, Office Building, Renewable Energy Plant, Institutional Building, Theme Park, Airport and Hospital.
He enjoys meeting people in the engineering fraternity through The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia. Ir. Lee is active in the engineering community, previously contributing extensively in the Young Engineers Section, IEM, serving from a Volunteer to the Hon. Secretary/ Treasurer of the section. He has risen from a Young Engineer and now, the youngest Council Member of the Institution.
He is also appointed as a member of curriculum review on the contents of Master of Science (Renewable Energy) in University Malaya and a member of Industrial Advisory Panel for the School of Engineering and the Built Environment of SEGi University. He is also a member in the Working Group on MS 1979 Revision. For now, he would like to just continue giving his engineering advice to the community and enjoy time with new friends in the industry.
