SYNOPSIS   

Fundamentals and Modern Technologies in Pile Testing is a technical webinar designed to provide engineers and industry professionals with a comprehensive understanding of pile testing methods, their applications, limitations and interpretation of results. As foundation engineering projects become increasingly demanding, reliable pile testing plays a vital role in ensuring structural performance, safety and quality assurance.

The webinar will introduce the fundamental principles and objectives of pile testing, including common failures and relevant international standards. Participants will gain an overview of various conventional and advanced pile testing methods, covering static and dynamic load testing, pile integrity testing, ultrasonic and seismic techniques, borehole imaging and other specialised approaches.

The session will also explore modern technologies and innovations in pile testing, including advanced pile-driven analysis and load integrity assessment technologies. Practical case studies from Malaysia and overseas will be shared to demonstrate real-world applications, including high-capacity bi-directional testing, deep foundation projects and AI-enabled pile testing applications.

Through technical knowledge, practical engineering experience and project-based case studies, participants will enhance their understanding of pile testing technologies and the interpretation of test results. The webinar aims to support better engineering decision-making, promote the adoption of modern testing technologies and strengthen foundation quality assurance practices.


BIODATA OF SPEAKER

1) Ir. Ts. Sukhairul Nizam bin Abdul Razak

Ir. Ts. Sukhairul Nizam bin Abdul Razak is an experienced engineering professional with more than 31 years of experience in the manufacturing and automotive industries. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Mechanical (Aeronautical) Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and a Master of Business Administration from Charles Sturt University, Australia.

He is a registered ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer and Professional Technologist. Throughout his career, he has held various management roles, including positions with Proton R&D and Daimler Benz Germany projects in Malaysia. He has also served by appointment as a coach for regional directors under the Leadership Development Programme.

In addition to his extensive industry experience, he has served as a Senior Lecturer and programme coordinator in a higher education institution and is currently a Managing Director of Envirokar Tech Sdn. Bhd. He is also certified as a Drone Pilot, Autonomous Systems Educator and Pile Test Technician, Competency Level 2.


2) Mr. Hakim Zain

Hakim Zain is a Marketing Engineer with hands-on experience in pile testing and advanced geotechnical technologies. His professional background combines technical engineering knowledge with business development and marketing expertise, enabling him to support the promotion and adoption of advanced pile testing solutions within the industry.

He holds a Bachelor of Petroleum Engineering (Hons) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and has developed practical experience through his involvement in pile testing works. As a Pile Test Engineer with YJACK Technology Sdn. Bhd., he was involved in the execution and technical operation of pile testing works, including Dynamic Load Testing, Static Load Testing and Bi-Directional Static Load Testing. His responsibilities also included site preparation, instrumentation, equipment setup, data acquisition, analysis and preparation of technical reports.

Currently associated with MrGeo Technology (M) Sdn. Bhd. as a Marketing Engineer, Hakim is involved in the technical marketing and business development of advanced pile testing technologies, including PDA+, PIT+ and BLT+.
