SYNOPSIS   


The IEM Engineering Workforce & Strategic Industry Roundtable 2026 brings together key industry, professional and technical stakeholders to examine Malaysia’s engineering workforce readiness for NIMP 2030. The dialogue will focus on the evolving roles, competency gaps and future skills required of engineers, engineering technologists and engineering technicians in manufacturing. Key areas include AI and digitalisation, automation, robotics, productivity, sustainability, standards and quality. The Forum will identify practical workforce development priorities and policy interventions, with outcomes contributing to the development of an IEM Position Paper for engagement with relevant Malaysian ministries, agencies and industry stakeholders.
