Who Should Attend?

All graduate members with more than 3 years' experience are encouraged to attend the workshop and to apply for the Professional Interview thereafter to become Corporate Member of IEM (MIEM), which is a gateway towards Professional Engineer in Malaysia and International PE/ APEC/ ASEAN Engineer Register.


Learning Outcomes

At the end of the workshop, the participants should:

•   Have clear understanding of the requirements for PI 2.0 submission.
•   Be able to complete the frameworks for the Training & Experience Report as well as Technical
     Annexe (for further elaboration and submission).


BIODATA OF SPEAKERS

1) Ir. Fong Chong Yit
    MIEM, PEPC

Ir. Fong Chong Yit graduated with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Hons) in 2004 from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS and Master of Business Administration from Universiti Malaya in 2012. He has been active in transportation engineering for 20 years.

Ir. Fong Chong Yit is currently attached to Pakatan Jurutera Pintar as Assistant Road Safety Auditor. He has been involved in numerous major transportation projects including Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit Sungai Buloh – Kajang Line (KVMRT SBK Line), Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit Sungai Buloh – Serdang – Putrajaya Line (MRT SSP Line), New Pantai Expressway 2 (NPE 2), West Coast Expressway (WCE), South Klang Valley Expressway (SKVE), Kuchai Link, Kuchai Link 2, Projek Menaiktaraf Jalan Klang Lama and many other projects of similar nature.

Ir. Fong Chong Yit is also an active member of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia and is currently Vice-Chairman of the Membership Applications Board (MAB), Secretary / Treasurer of Highway and Transportation Engineering Technical Division (HTETD) as well as Committee Member of Professional Interview Development Board (PID). He has also been appointed as Assessor, Interviewer and Reviewer for the Outcome Based Professional Interview.

2) Ir. Mohd Azha bin Abu Samah
    FIEM, PEPC

Ir. Mohd Azha Abu Samah received his Bachelor in Electromechanical Engineering (Power Electrical) from the Free University of Brussels, Belgium (1991) and has Master of Project Management (MPM) from the Open University Malaysia (2015). Ir. Mohd Azha is the Advisor of the Engineering Competency Development Sub Committee, an active Mentor and also an active Professional Interviewer. He has also obtained his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in 2016.
