SYNOPSIS
Aviation Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) projects operate in a highly regulated, time-sensitive, and safety-critical environment. This webinar explores the real-world challenges of managing engineering projects in the aviation MRO sector, including stakeholder coordination, regulatory compliance, resource constraints, technical uncertainties, and schedule pressures.
Drawing from industry experience in aircraft cabin engineering and continued airworthiness, the speaker will share practical insights into how project managers navigate complex operational demands while maintaining safety and compliance standards. The session also highlights key lessons learned, common pitfalls, and effective strategies to improve project delivery performance in aviation engineering environments.
BIODATA OF SPEAKER
Mr. Lim Zhian Wei
Mr. Lim Zhian Wei is a Technical Services Engineer at Rise Aero Sdn. Bhd., with experience in the aviation Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) industry. He specialises in aircraft cabin engineering, continued airworthiness, and technical services for commercial and VIP aircraft, focusing on regulatory compliance, safety, and operational efficiency.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Aircraft Engineering from Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University), Russia, and will be pursuing a Master’s Degree in Production Engineering and Management at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. He is also active in the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) as the observer of the Project Management Technical Division (PMTD), the Aero-sub committee of the Mechanical Engineering Technical Division (METD).
