Special General Meeting (SGM)

In accordance with the IEM Graduate and Student Section’s Bylaws and Regulations (No. 52), notice is hereby given that the Special General Meeting will be held as follows: -

Date            :    19 July 2026        
Time            :    2.00 p.m. – 3.00 p.m
Venue    :    Zoom Platform

Agenda:

The Young Engineers Section (YES) of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM) will convene a Special General Meeting to present and vote on the proposed amendments to the YES Bylaw.

The proposed revisions are intended to:
1.    Increasing the number of elected committee members to better support the growing YES membership and activities.
2.    Enhancing succession planning through a more balanced committee renewal process.
3.    Streamlining the committee structure to improve operational efficiency and member representation.
4.    Providing clearer provisions for the formation of subcommittees to support YES initiatives and programmes.

Key agenda:

•    Presentation of proposed amendments to the YES Bylaw
•    Voting on specific clauses requiring revision

Attendance:
•    All registered Graduate and Student Members of IEM are welcome to attend the meeting
•    Only registered Graduate and Student Members of IEM are eligible to vote on the proposed amendments.
