SYNOPSIS   

This hands-on course provides participants with a comprehensive foundation in Python programming. Designed for learners with little or no prior programming experience, the program introduces fundamental programming concepts including Python syntax, variables, data types, operators, conditional statements, loops, functions, data structures, file handling, and basic version control using GitHub.

Participants will gain practical experience using industry-relevant tools such as Python, Visual Studio Code, and GitHub while developing and testing their own programs through guided exercises and mini-project activities. The course emphasizes logical thinking, problemsolving, and programming best practices that form the foundation for more advanced topics in artificial intelligence, data science, and software development.

By the end of the program, participants will be able to write, execute, and troubleshoot Python programs confidently while understanding the role of Python in modern digital technologies and Industry 4.0 initiatives.

The objectives of the course are:

i. To equip participants with a fundamental understanding of Python programming concepts, syntax, and programming logic.
ii. To develop participants' ability to create, test, and troubleshoot Python programs using practical coding exercises.
iii. To provide hands-on experience with Python development tools and basic version control practices using GitHub.
iv. To enable participants to apply programming concepts to solve real-world problems through guided projects and practical activities.
v. To establish a strong foundation for further learning in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Automation, and Software Development.


BIODATA OF SPEAKERS

Ir. Suresh Kumar Kandasamy and Mr. Tulaisiram Naidoo

1) Ir. Suresh Kumar Kandasamy

Ir. Suresh Kumar Kandasamy is a registered Professional Engineer with over 20 years of experience in the Telecommunication industry, specializing in Fiber Optics, RF Network Planning, Optimization, Network Implementation, Project Management, and Technical Vocational Education. He holds a Master of Science degree by Research from University Kebangsaan Malaysia, Faculty of Electrical, Electronics and System Engineering (2005), and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Hons) from University Science of Malaysia (2000). He is also a Certified Trainer the Trainer (TTT) from HRDF.


2) Mr. Tulaisiram Naidoo

Mr. Tulaisiram Naidoo graduated from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) with a Bachelor of Computer Science, majoring in Computer Networking, in 2023. He has experience conducting technical training programs for graduates through industry development initiatives and has facilitated multiple weekend-based courses focused on digital and technology skills development. His training approach emphasizes hands-on learning, practical problem-solving, and realworld applications to help participants build confidence in technical subjects.
