SYNOPSIS
International Women in Engineering Day (IWED) is celebrated annually on 23 June to recognise the contributions of engineers and to inspire future generations. In 2026, IWED marks its 13th year with the theme #EngineeringIntelligence, highlighting the role of engineers in applying knowledge, data, and innovation to address complex global challenges. In conjunction with this celebration, WE AFEO in collaboration with the IEM Women Engineers (WE) Section will organise a joint webinar forum. This initiative aims to strengthen regional collaboration while showcasing diverse engineering perspectives across ASEAN. Discover how engineering intelligence is shaping the future through data-driven insights, innovation, and collaboration. Join distinguished speakers from industry, academia, and ASEAN engineering communities as they share perspectives on creating meaningful impact in an increasingly intelligent world.
MODERATOR
Ir. Prof Dr Zuhaina bt Zakaria
Prof. Ir. Dr. Zuhaina Zakaria is a professor at Faculty of Electrical Engineering, UiTM with over 30 years of experience in academia. She is currently the Chair for IEM Women Engineer Section. She specializes in energy efficiency, power quality, load profiling, and power system analysis. An active member of IEEE and IET, she also served as the Honorary Secretary of IEM for session 2022/2023, 2023/2024. She has held key roles in the Board of Engineers Malaysia and the Engineering Technology Accreditation Council.

1) Datin Ir. Ts. Nor Ziha Zainol Abidin Head, Corporate Ventures Development, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB)
Datin Ir. Ts. Nor Ziha Zainol Abidin is a corporate development and energy-sector leader with over 20 years of experience at Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB). She currently leads TNB’s corporate ventures development initiatives, driving innovation, strategic partnerships, and new business opportunities to support the organisation’s energy transition and sustainable growth agenda.
2) Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti (Winny) Chief Statistician, BPS–Statistics Indonesia
Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, widely known as Winny, is the Chief Statistician of BPS–Statistics Indonesia. With academic qualifications in engineering and economics, she has held numerous senior positions in Indonesia’s national development planning agency and is recognised for her leadership in data analytics, evidence-based policymaking, and national development planning.
3) Engr. Estrellita Cabebe Bordallo President, Geodetic Engineers of the Philippines - NCR
Engr. Estrellita Cabebe Bordallo is a Licensed Geodetic Engineer, ASEAN Engineer, and President of the Geodetic Engineers of the Philippines–NCR. A respected leader in the geospatial profession, she has extensive experience in land surveying, infrastructure development, and community initiatives, while actively promoting professional development and women’s participation in engineering.
4) Er. Sharron Ng Director, ECAS Consultants Pte Ltd
Er. Sharron Ng is a Professional Engineer (Civil) and Director of ECAS Consultants Pte Ltd. With over two decades of experience in Singapore’s built environment sector, she has led numerous infrastructure projects and championed innovation in digitalisation, sustainable engineering, and advanced construction methodologies. She currently serves on the Council of The Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES).
