SYNOPSIS   

Jambatan Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah (JSAHMS) provide an alternative route for the people to commute to Penang Island from the Mainland and also a catalyst for the socio economic growth an development in Penang.The bridge’s over all length is 24km with 16.6km is the length of the marine bridge over the water. It is linking Batu Kawan on the Main land to Batu Maung on the island, and it is currently the second longest bridge in Southeast Asia. Established in 2008, Jambatan Kedua Sdn Bhd (JKSB) was awarded the concessionaire for the Second Penang Bridge, responsible for designing, constructing, managing, operating, and maintaining JSHAMS. The company operates under a 45-year concession period, emphasizing excellence in toll collection, bridge highway operations and maintenance.

During this technical visit, participants will be able to see how JKSB do the bridge maintenance and learn about bridge management.
