Speaker’s Biodata
Mr Yeffry Wiyana and Mr Alex Lim
1) Mr Yeffry Wiyana
Mr. Yeffry Wiyana had a Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering qualification from Satya Wacana Christian University, Indonesia, followed by an MBA Degree from SP Jain, Singapore, and Post Graduate Diploma Degree from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
Started his professional career as an application engineer for electrical and instrumentation systems, then was assigned to the technical sales. Joined with ABB Furse in 2010, established and built the competency and experience in the earthing and lightning protection system. His current role is Regional Business Development Manager, working closely with the project consultants and the contractors, taking part in technical sharing, training, and seminars on earthing and lightning protection systems.
2) Mr Alex Lim
Lim Kwan Liang, Alex is a renewable energy specialist with over 11 years of experience inutility-scale solar PV and hydro power projects across Southeast Asia. He currently serves as Regional Product & Solution Manager at LONGi, leading technical advisory, stakeholder engagement, and solution delivery for large-scale PV deployment. Previously, he managed operations and safety audits for Amcorp Power, overseeing solar and hydro assets, performance optimisation, and compliance. His expertise spans asset performance, O&M strategy, grid integration, and advanced PV technologies, with contributions to award-winning projects such as the ASEAN Energy Award 2020. Alex has conducted 30+technical workshops regionally, engaging developers, EPCs, utilities, and universities. He holds a Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering from Monash University Malaysia and is a Certified Grid-Connected Photovoltaic Solar Designer, with ongoing accreditation as aSafety & Health Officer.
