SYNOPSIS
This IEM member engagement session is to gather any questions and feedback relating to fire protection. This is so IEM FAB can then write as question or proposals in the upcoming Bomba Dialogue.
This session will also discuss some of the decisions made from the Bomba and professional dialogue session 2025/1
BIODATA OF SPEAKER
Ir. Loo Chee Kin is an active member in the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM). He is the current Chairman of Fire Advisor Board (FAB) as well as past Chairman and Advisor of IEM Mechanical Technical Division (METD) and committee member various other IEM committees. For his contribution and work in disaster management to the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations (AFEO), he was conferred an Honorary Member of AFEO in 2020.
He is a Senior Consultant with TÜV SÜD Global Risk Consultants (GRC) and before that he was a Senior Engineering Specialist with FM Global for some 12 years. He has more than 25 years’ engineering experience, from design to field work. He graduated from UMIST, Manchester, UK with a B.Eng in Electromechanical Systems Engineering and a Diploma in Electromechanical Systems Engineering from Kota Bharu Polytechnic in Kelantan, Malaysia. He is a P.Eng in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and a Member of IEM. He is a Member of IMechE and IEE, and registered C.Eng.
