This seminar aims to enhance industry awareness on material compliance and safety in construction, emphasizing the importance of adhering to regulatory requirements, certification processes, and safe application practices. Participants will gain valuable insights from regulatory representatives and industry experts on how proper compliance and safety management contribute to quality assurance, risk reduction, and sustainable construction outcomes.

BIODATA OF SPEAKERS
Ts. Nor Hamiza Zahar holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Electrical from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam. With over 20 years of service at CIDB, she brings deep expertise in regulatory frameworks and compliance, particularly in the domain of construction products and materials under the Fourth Schedule of Act 520. Her contributions extend to standard development committees, where she actively shapes both Construction Industry Standards (CIS) and Malaysia Standards (MS). She is also a member of the ASEAN Building and Construction Working Group (BCWG), playing a pivotal role in regional efforts to harmonize standards and reduce Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT). Ts. Nor Hamiza is widely respected for her commitment to elevating construction quality and safety through regulatory excellence and cross-border collaboration.
Mr. Muhammed Asraff holds a Bachelor’s Degree (Hons.) in Technology from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). With over 14 years of experience at Makmal Kerja Raya Malaysia (MKRM), he has been deeply involved in structural and building material testing since MKRM’s inception in 2010. He is one of the Approved Signatories under MS ISO/IEC 17025 and plays a key role in supporting CREAM’s accreditation as an inspection body under MS ISO/IEC 17020:2012. Since 2014, Mr. Asraff has led inspection work for both imported and local building materials. He is frequently engaged in CIDB and DOSH site inspections and investigations and is widely consulted by CIDB on standards and compliance matters. He is also an active contributor to the development of Malaysian Standards, serving on national technical committees and working groups related to construction products under the CIDB Act 520
Ir. KS Ng holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Hons.) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). He is a Professional Engineer and an ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer with 20 years of experience in engineering design, construction planning, manufacturing, and project management, including more than a decade of specialization in scaffolding, falsework, and formwork systems. He actively contributes to the development and review of Construction Industry Standards (CIS) and Malaysia Standards (MS), particularly in the field of construction temporary works. Ir. KS Ng has delivered numerous technical talks on standards, design, and safety for scaffolding and falsework at seminars organized by DOSH, CIDB, and IEM, and has also provided training for DOSH enforcement officers in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, and Johor on scaffolding fundamentals and compliance.
