PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
i. Registration & Safety Briefing ii. Technical Presentation on EV Fire Risk iii. EV Blanket Live Demonstration iv. Q&A and Networking Session
SYNOPSIS
With rising EV adoption, fire incidents pose distinct hazards, particularly from battery thermal runaway, where conventional suppression can be less effective. Under BOMBA’s Fire Safety Guideline for Electric Vehicle Charging Bays (EVCB) at Premises, an EV fire blanket is now stipulated. Blankets shall be SIRIM-tested to EN ISO 1182 and EN ISO 1716.
This briefing and live demonstration will cover the technical requirements and show practical deployment and use of the EV fire blanket. The demo will illustrate first-response containment in workshops, car parks, service depots, and similar scenarios
