SYNOPSIS

The YES OPEN DAY 3.0 2025 is an event designed to help engineering students and recent graduates learn more about the industry and explore career opportunities. Held in collaboration with the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM) Young Engineers Section (YES) and IEM Sunway Student Section, this event provides a space to meet industry professionals, ask questions, and get advice for entering the working world.

Pre-Event Highlights:

Several pre-event sessions will be held to help participants get ready and gain early insight into different areas of the profession:
•  Route to Professional Engineer (PE):
    A clear guide on how to become a Professional Engineer in Malaysia
    - what to expect, how to apply, and when to start.
•  Sustainability Forum:
    Engineers working in sustainability will share their experiences and talk about the importance
    of sustainable practices in engineering projects.
•  Coffee Session:
    A relaxed session where students and graduates can have open conversations with
    professionals. It’s a great chance to ask questions, hear real stories, and get career advice in
    an informal setting.


Main Event: Career Fair and Activities:

The main event features a variety of career-focused opportunities, tailored to help participants explore and engage with industry players:

- Career Exhibition
  Visit company booths, interact with recruiters, and discover job and internship opportunities.
  Selected companies may also accept resume submissions on-site.

- Career Workshops
  Interactive sessions offering guidance on resume writing, interview preparation, and building a
  strong professional presence.

- Talk Shows & Forums
   Industry speakers from various sectors will share their experiences, career journeys, and
   practical advice for transitioning from university to the workforce.

Whether looking for a job, internship, or simply exploring what comes next, this career fair is a great opportunity to take that first step into the working world.
