SYNOPSIS

The webinar entitled "Project Management and Employability: How Relevant Is My Project Management Skills" focuses on exploring the importance of project management skills in the current job market and how they can enhance an individual's employability. It covers the significance of project management skills in today's business environment. The presenter discusses how project management skills are vital for achieving organizational goals, meeting project deadlines, and delivering high-quality results. The webinar then delves into the various project management competencies that are in high demand by employers. These competencies include communication, leadership, problem-solving, risk management, and stakeholder management. The presenter emphasizes how possessing these skills can make an individual more attractive to potential employers.
The webinar also covers the benefits of obtaining a project management certification, such as the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. The presenter explains how obtaining a PMP certification can demonstrate an individual's commitment to their profession, enhance their credibility, and increase their earning potential. In addition, the presenter will also be sharing the benefits of pursuing post graduate degree whether it will really benefits the crowd or selected few. BIODATA OF SPEAKER

Ir Ts Dr Harris A R Sabri is a Principal Engineer (Rotating Equipment) working for Malaysia national oil company with 19 years of working experience in oil and gas industry. Under his current portfolio, he is entrusted to lead an in-house remote monitoring digital solution for rotating equipment in delivering operational excellence for Malaysia Assets, International Assets as well as LNG Plants. His vast work experience covers various aspects on turbomachinery , operational excellence, digitalization, remote monitoring, engineering design,  implementation,  testing, commissioning and maintenance of rotating equipment for upstream and downstream Oil and Gas Facilities; as well as substantial management capabilities with consistent track record of leadership, problem solving, anticipating of problem and mitigation plan. He has involved with multi million ringgit greenfield projects covering the engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning of long lead mechanical equipment, as well as building new offshore platform from scratch.

Graduated from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), he obtained his Bachelor Degree in 2003 and Doctor of Philosophy in 2018. To date, he has delivered more than 50 talks, webinars and paper presentation locally and internationally. Recently, he was recognized by his company by obtaining Technical Professional Solutionist Award 2022 which was given to top 3 technical professional in the company.

As a registered professional engineer and professional technologist, he has actively contributes to the local technical society via his involvement with The Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) as the Deputy Chairman of Project Management Technical Division (PMTD), Committee Members for Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as well as Committee for Technology & Technical Working Group Oil and Gas for Malaysia Board of Technologist (MBOT).
