About This Talk

This talk will discuss on the global mobility of engineers and the movement of global engineering professionals who are capable of independent practices. The International Engineering Alliance (IEA) and the relevant agreements allow for mutual recognition of competence engineers to practice globally . The speaker will also share the route and process to become International Professional Engineers and APEC Engineers through APEC and IPEA Engineer Register as well as the mobility recognition in ASEAN regions. The benefits for mutual recognition of engineering professional for the global mobility will be discussed..


Speaker Profile

Ir. Ts. Wong Chee Fui is a Specialist at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR). He holds a M.Sc. degree in Highway and Transport Engineering and a B.Eng. Degree in Civil Engineering, both from Universiti Putra Malaysia. Ir. Ts. Wong is a Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate (P.Eng.), Professional Technologist (P.Tech.), Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (FIEM), Fellow of Technological Association Malaysia (FTAM), Associate Fellow of ASEAN Academy of Engineering and Technology (AFAAET), and Member of Malaysian Institute of Management (MMIM). He is currently the Council Member of IEM (2021-2024) and was formerly the Executive Director of IEM from 2014-2017. Internationally Ir. Ts. Wong is registered as International Professional Engineer (IntPE), APEC Engineer, ASEAN Engineer, and ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer (ACPE).
