BIODATA OF SPEAKER

Ir. Yau Chau Fong has a total of 18 years working experience mainly in a large and reputable Consultant Firm. He has established his own M&E consultancy practice, Duriane Professionals Sdn Bhd 6 years ago. His exposure includes mainly large scale Electrical System design for various types of buildings, plants & aviation industries, RE plants & data centres. His experiences include design, implementation and contracting for Electrical Building Services of various types of buildings from specialised buildings such as hangars & data centres to high-rise buildings, both locally and overseas. Ir. Yau Chau Fong  is the Chair AEI-EI (ASEAN Engineering Inspectorate – Electrical Installation) Steering Committee at the AFEO (ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organization) level.  He has been recently appointed as the AFEO Head Commissioner.

Ir. Dr Tan Chee Fai has more than 19 years of working experience in mechanical and manufacturing engineering. Currently, he is the Director of Perunding IBS Sdn. Bhd. And Vice President, MSM International. He is actively involved in strategic and technical consultation to assist Malaysia Industry towards Industry 4.0. He has led various Industry, University and Malaysia Government as well as International funded projects such as EU FP7. He is the Keynote Speaker in various important international engineering events such as World Intelligent Manufacturing Summit and ICE-IEM Future Engineers Conference. He was the UNESCO Individual Specialist to study on engineering education at APEC economy. Based on his contribution to engineering community especially IEM since year 2000, Ir. Dr. Tan was awarded as the 2014 JCI Ten Outstanding Young Malaysian Award Honoree on Humanitarian and Voluntary Services Category. Ir. Dr Tan is the Chairman for the AER National Monitoring Committee (AER NMC) and also the new Country Registrar for AFEO.

Ir. Rusnida Talib holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering degree from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM).  She is currently the Deputy Director in one of Departments  in Kuala Lumpur City Hall (KLCH) and has been attached with KLCH for almost 18 years. Ir. Rusnida’s area of expertise involves infrastructure engineering works and now currently on permit for digging by utility companies. She is the Chairperson for the IEM Women Engineers Section for Session 2019-2021. She has been actively attending the Conference of ASEAN Federation of Engineering Orgnisations (CAFEO) as well as the mid-term AFEO meeting held at the various ASEAN countries. Ir. Rusnida is currently the Secretary General of Women Engineer of AFEO (WE AFEO) and she is also involved with the International Network of Women Engineers and Scientists (INWES).

Mr. Kuugan Thangarajoo is a Project Engineer with over 4 years’ experience in oil & gas industry in Malaysia. He is a registered Graduate Engineer with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and a registered Professional Technologist with Malaysian Board of Technologist (MBOT). He is the current Chairman of Young Engineers Section (IEM-YES), Malaysia and also the Secretary General of Young Engineers of ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organization (YEAFEO).

Ir. Ng Win Siau graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor and Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering in 2002 and 2005 respectively.  He is currently a Suruhanjaya Tenaga registered competent electrical engineer (132kV), working in a consultancy firm.  He specializes in the design, maintenance and diagnostics of high voltage electrical installations.  Ir. Ng is a Member of The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM), actively contributing as a member of the Electrical Engineering Technical Division and the Membership Application Board. He represents IEM in the Standards Malaysia Workgroup for High Voltage Switchgear, Controlgear and Assemblies and Technical Committee for Cables and Cable Accessories.  Ir. Ng currently leads the AEI-EI Malaysian National Working Group, pushing towards a common standard for electrical installation amongst ASEAN countries.
