Training Outline

This programme deliberates on the requirements of International Professional Engineers Agreement (IPEA) and APEC Engineer Agreement and the expectations on IPEA/APEC Engineer Periodic Reviewers when undertaking a review on authorized members.

It introduces the International Engineering Alliance (IEA) and its respective accords and agreements and followed by the rules and procedures.  
Experiences of Reviewers and Reviewees are related and thus providing exemplars for the conduct of IEA reviews. It also covers reviewer aplomb and decorum and reporting for submission to IEA.  .


Speaker’s Profile

1. Ir. Professor Megat Johari Megat Mohd Noor

Ir. Prof MJ Megat Mohd Noor has altogether 37 years of work experience at UPM, UTM and BEM. Presently he is chairing the Examination and Qualifications Committee and the Engineering Accreditation Council.

He was instrumental in bringing Malaysia into the fold of Washington, Sydney and Dublin Accords. He was also the Founding Dean of the MJIIT, a collaborative T&R institute supported by the Malaysian and Japanese Governments. Ir. Prof Megat Johari is a Fellow of IEM.


2. Ir. Professor Dr Norlida binti Buniyamin

Ir. Prof Dr Norlida binti Buniyamin has over 32 years of working experience and currently a Professor of Electrical Engineering at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University Teknologi Mara, and Malaysia. Ir. Prof Dr Norlida obtained M.Sc. in Industrial Control System in 1993 from the University of Salford, UK and subsequently in 2004, a PhD in the area of Knowledge Management for manufacturing enterprises from the University of Manchester, Ins. of Science and Technology (UMIST), UK.

She has been an active member of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM) since 1993 and was elected to the council for the first time in the year 2000. Since then she has served IEM in various standing committees and positions. Currently Ir. Dr Norlida is one of the Vice Presidents of IEM and is the Chairperson of Standing Committee on Examination & Qualification (E&Q)
