SYNOPSIS
The chemical industry plays a significant role in Malaysia’s economic development, while facing growing expectations to strengthen Health, Safety, Environmental and Security (HSE&S) performance. This IEM CETD Pre-AGM Webinar introduces Responsible Care®, the global chemical industry’s voluntary initiative promoting safe, sustainable and responsible chemical operations.
Managed in Malaysia by the Chemical Industries Council of Malaysia (CICM) since 1994, Responsible Care® provides a structured framework for continuous improvement beyond regulatory compliance. The session will highlight its Global Charter, Guiding Principles, seven Codes of Management Practices and Responsible Care Management System (RCMS), with emphasis on risk management, operational excellence, sustainability and alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
