SYNOPSIS
Geopolymers are innovative, eco-friendly materials made from industrial by-products that offer a sustainable alternative to traditional cement. This webinar will explore the future of sustainable construction through the innovative use of geopolymer. This session will delve into the science behind geopolymers, comparing them with traditional cement and highlighting their environmental economic benefits. The geopolymerization process, challenges in adopting geopolymer and future potential in the construction industry will also be covered.
BIODATA OF SPEAKER
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Liew Yun Ming
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Liew Yun Ming obtained her bachelor’s and doctoral degrees from Universiti Malaysia Perlis. With over 14 years of experience in geopolymer materials research, she has secured numerous national and international research grants. Her work has gained significant recognition, being featured in prestigious international conferences and high-impact journals, where it is frequently cited by peers. In addition to her research achievements, Dr. Liew serves as a reviewer for esteemed journal publications, a technical committee member for international conferences, an editorial board member for several multidisciplinary journals, and a jury member for both national and international exhibitions.
