SYNOPSIS
Time, cost and quality are the three crucial elements of a construction project. A perfect project would be carried out on time, at low cost and be of high quality. But it’s not always that simple. Delay in construction projects are major cause of disputes. The talk will cover the overview of the various type of Delay Analysis Methodologies as well as it’s strengths and weakness. It will also discuss the recommended practices and protocols to properly execute the selected delay analysis.
BIODATA OF SPEAKER
Ir. Ts. THOMAS ONG PEng, ACPE, PTech, ACIArb, MIEM, MMSET
Thomas holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, majoring in construction management. He has 20 years’ industry experience in the working environment of Main Contractors, Project Delivery Partner and Claim Consultants, predominantly relating to projects within high rise building and infrastructure sectors.
Thomas specialises in delay analysis, planning and programming, project control, monitoring and project management. He has experience in performed various forensic delay analysis, as well as assist Expert Witness in preparation and review of Expert Witness Report with time related issues in the arbitration proceedings and other dispute resolution services.
