COMPANY BACKGROUND

Malaysia Transformer Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd. (MTM) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tenaga Nasional Bhd., established to offer a wide and full range of products and services with high quality Distribution Transformers up to 5000 kVA with maximum voltage of 33 kV and Power Transformers up to 100 MVA with maximum voltage of 150 kV.

MTM is able to manufacture various type of transformers – Oil Immersed, Dry type, Power and Earthing, Generators and compact Substation Units.

MTM also provides Retrofit & Refurbishing, services such as Remanufacturing, Repair & Service transformer at site or in-house, Installation, Testing and Commissioning. They have testing facilities to carry out Routine and Type test, Diagnostic and Troubleshooting services.

This technical visit will provide members an opportunity to observe how Distribution and Power transformers are designed, manufactured and tested to meet relevant International Standards and customer requirements.

Electrical engineers and students will greatly enhance their knowledge to observe in details on the actual construction and testing of transformers. They will also have the opportunity to discuss the design and testing procedures.
