SYNOPSIS
Underground storage of flammable and combustible liquids requires tanks that can resist the combination of burial forces and material degradation from internal and external sources over time to protect the environmental. This webinar will provide information about the comprehensive construction and performance requirements of UL’s globally recognized Underground Tank Standards, including:
- UL 58 Steel Tanks for primary, secondary and multi compartment designs evaluated to either the Roark formula or burial test sequence, - UL 1746 External Corrosion Protection Systems for Steel USTs with focus on Composite and Jacketed types, and their material compatibility tests, UL/ULC 1316 Fiberglass Tanks for primary, secondary and multi compartment designs with focus on burial test sequence and material compatibility test, - UL 1856 Internal Retrofit Systems for improving structural integrity, fuel resistance and/or adding secondary containment to in use steel or frp tanks, and - An integrated system perspective of other critical underground fueling products, such as pipes (UL 971, UL971A, UL2039) and sumps (UL2447).
