SYNOPSIS
This webinar introduces the concept of risk management which includes hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk control, particularly on process safety management. The participants will also be introduced to various methods of risk assessment including hazard and operability study (HAZOP), failure mode effects and critical analysis (FMEA), failure tree (FTA) and event tree analysis (ETA). Finally, risk tolerability criteria will be discussed.
BIODATA OF SPEAKER
Ir. Dr. Teow Yeit Haan graduated in Chemical Engineering from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Malaysia in 2011. She was conferred a Doctorate of Philoscophy- Chemical Engineering from Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia in 2014. Ir. Dr. Teow Yeit Haan is currently a senior lecturer at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Since then she has been teaching industry safety, plant reliability and risk assessment, and quantitative risk assessment for the past 5 years. She has also lead few industry-academia collaboration projects working with Sime Darby Research Sdn. Bhd., Indah Water Konsortium Sdn. Bhd and Infineonon Technologies (Kulim) Sdn. Bhd. on wastewater treatment and water reuse.
