Guidelines – Admission to the grade of Incorporated Member

1. Candidate shall produce evidence to the satisfaction of the Council that he is a graduate with an engineering degree which is not on The Institution’s Accredited List or that he has undertaken a graduate engineering course but has not yet qualified for admission as a Graduate Member or as a Student Member.
    
2. One copy of the following documents to be uploaded together with the online application;
    
   1. Degree(s) and result slip / academic transcript
      
      Degree(s) in engineering that do not show the Division/Branch/Discipline require applicant to upload ADDITIONAL SECONDARY DOCUMENT (eg: subject Result slip, Department’s letter etc.) to indicate the Discipline.
       
      • Scanned copy of the degree certificates from local universities in Bahasa Malaysia or English version are required. Certificate from overseas universities issued in foreign languages must be accompanied by translation obtained from University Registrar/Embassy Official, etc.
         
      • Copies of “Transcript of Academic Record” or “details of course and subject” to be taken at the University. The document must be issued by the University where the applicant had attained the degree.
         
3. Proposer/Seconder for this Application:
    
   1. Your Proposer/Seconder has to be a Corporate Member of IEM (M.I.E.M/F.I.E.M)
   2. The Proposer/Seconder is expected to certify the supporting documents to be uploaded to this Online Application by respond to the email entitle ‘Request to be Proposer / Seconder’ which will be sent to the Proposer/Seconder on the same day of Online Application submission.
       

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ONLY CAN PROCEED TO PROCESS YOUR APPLICATION ONCE WE RECEIVE YOUR PROPOSER/ SECONDER’S RESPOND AND THE COMPLETE SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS.

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE ABOVE WILL RESULT IN THE DELAY IN PROCESSING YOUR APPLICATION
