Guidelines – Admission to the grade of Associate

1. Candidate shall produce evidence to the satisfaction of the Council that he has obtained a recognised diploma in engineering from a polytechnic/college, or has obtained equivalent qualification.
    
2. One copy of the following documents to be uploaded together with the online application;
    
   1. Diploma and result slip / academic transcript
      
      Diploma in engineering that do not show the Division/Branch/Discipline require applicant to upload ADDITIONAL SECONDARY DOCUMENT (eg: subject Result slip, Department’s letter etc.) to indicate the Discipline.
       
      • Scanned copy of the engineering certificates and Diploma from polytechnic/college, in Bahasa Malaysia or English version are required.
         
      • Copies of “Transcript of Academic Record” or “details of course and subject” to be taken at the polytechnic/college. The document must be issued by the polytechnic/college where the applicant had attained the diploma.
         
3. Proposer for this Application:
    
   1. Your Proposer has to be a Corporate Member of IEM (M.I.E.M/F.I.E.M)
   2. The Proposer is expected to certify the supporting documents to be uploaded to this Online Application by respond to the email entitle ‘Request to be Proposer / Seconder’ which will be sent to the Proposer on the same day of Online Application submission.
