SYNOPSIS

This 2-hour webinar delivers a focused briefing on the latest updates to MS EN 1992-4 (EC2-4) and Malaysia’s adoption journey, including the relevant national annexes. The session clarifies amendments, interpretation challenges, and practical steps for engineers, designers, and project teams to ensure compliant, safe, and efficient design and construction.

EC2-4, the Eurocode framework for the design of fastenings in concrete, provides a rigorous and comprehensive approach that prioritizes safety and long-term durability. It offers standardized methodologies for a range of fastening types and loading scenarios, enabling consistent and reliable performance throughout a structure’s expected service life.

Attendees will gain a clear understanding of the scope, key design criteria, material considerations, detailing rules, and verification procedures. The webinar also addresses the Malaysian adoption context—highlighting the path to integration, required documentation, and risk areas for designers and contractors. By the end, participants will be better equipped to apply MS EN 1992-4 in Malaysian projects, navigate annex-specific requirements, and communicate design intent clearly across teams.
