SYNOPSIS   

GHG Accounting, Reporting and Verification are key in enabling the goals of Paris Agreement to prevent catastrophic and irreversible impacts of Climate Change. GHG accounting can be done at various levels and boundaries. Some of these standards are almost 2 decades old and currently undergoing major revisions and alignment with regulation and digital technology developments. The talk will give an overview of and evolution of these standards, and the convergence happening today. This talk is important for engineers, researchers and business community to understand the changes happening at global level to embrace a more robust and coherent GHG accounting, reporting and verification requirements which may be incorporated in Malaysia Climate Change laws and regulations.
