SYNOPSIS
The talk explores the key waterproofing material options available today, from traditional cementitious and bituminous membranes to advanced liquid-applied systems and spray polyurea. Participants will learn how to select the right material based on substrate, exposure conditions, durability requirements, application method, and long term performance. Common failures casued by wrong material selection and poor workmanship will also be discussed, helping professionals make informed and practical decisions.
BIODATA OF SPEAKER
Mr. Lim Khin Fong, James
Mr. James Lim is the founder and director of CRT Specialist (M) Sdn Bhd, specializing in concrete repair and waterproofing. With over 25 years of experience, he has been involved in major projects including KVMRT Line 1 & 2 underground works and various high-rise developments. He holds a Civil Engineering degree from the University of Auckland and an Executive MBA from the University of Bath. Active in the American Concrete Institute Malaysia Chapter, James regularly contributes to industry seminars and led a team of professionals in developing a technical commentary on flat roof water intrusion.
