SYNOPSIS
This one ‑ day, hands‑on program builds a practical foundation in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). We move from core concepts and global context to the mechanics of ESG in strategy, operations, and reporting—covering frameworks (GRI/ISSB/TCFD), materiality, risk, greenwashing safeguards, and near‑term trends(green finance, AI, and the shift from circularity to regeneration). The day culminates in a guided Action Lab where each participant drafts a concise ESG plan with priorities, roles, timelines, and a reporting/communication pathway.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
• Explain SDG and ESG fundamentals and why they matter for performance and resilience. • Map E, S, and G priorities to stakeholders, core functions, risks, and decisions. • Align strategy with common disclosure approaches (e.g., GRI/ISSB/TCFD). • Run a basic (single/double) materiality exercise, translating results into SMART goals, KPIs, and governance checkpoints. • Identify and prevent greenwashing using clear claims and assurance ‑ ready evidence. • Outline a context ‑ appropriate pathway for decarbonization and positive social impact. • Build a starter ESG Action Plan (priorities, owners, milestones) and a reporting / communication roadmap.
