1. MR. HANAFI BIN MOHAMAD

Hanafi Mohamad is a highly accomplished Principal Testing Executive with 22 years of expertise in fire protection product testing at SIRIM QAS International Sdn. Bhd. He holds a Master's degree in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). Hanafi actively contributes to Malaysian Standards development activities since 2005 and has played a pivotal role in testing fire protection products for global giants like Mitsubishi, Hyundai, and Schindler. He is also an expert in active fire testing, showcasing his profound knowledge and experience in ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality in fire protection products.


2. MS. SHARIFAH NUR BADARIAH

With a strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's degree in Fire Safety Engineering, this seasoned expert brings over 16 years of invaluable experience to the realm of fire testing. Specializing in fire resistance testing for building elements, she meticulously adheres to British, European, and International standards. Her proficiency extends to conducting tailored ad-hoc fire tests for product development, showcasing her ability to blend theoretical knowledge with practical applications. One of her notable skills lies in producing detailed product assessment reports, where she expertly interprets results from a series of fire resistance tests for specific design configurations. With a wealth of practical insights and technical expertise, she delivers engaging presentations on a myriad of topics related to fire testing, enriching audiences with her depth of knowledge and passion for the field.


3. Ir. KAMARULZAMAN BIN MAT ZIN

Ir. Kamarulzaman bin Mat Zin is a Fire Testing Engineer at SIRIM QAS International, with over 17 years of experience in fire testing and conformity assessment. He began his career as a project and mechanical engineer before joining SIRIM in 2008. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Malaya and an Executive Master’s from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). His career reflects strong expertise in fire safety testing and technical standards.


MODERATOR

Ir. Dr. Yew Ming Chian is an Associate Professor at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) specializing in structural fire protection and advanced materials. A Professional Engineer (Ir.) and Chartered Engineer (CEng, UK), he has published over 100 technical papers, secured 16 research grants, and holds 11 intellectual property rights. His work focuses on intumescent coatings, flame-retardant polymers, sustainable construction materials, and nano-coatings, earning him various international awards. He also serves on professional bodies including the Institution of Fire Engineers (UK) Malaysia Branch Council and IEM Materials Engineering Technical Division.
