In Collaboration with Daikin Malaysia Sales & Service Sdn Bhd
SYNOPSIS
As Malaysia advances its environmental sustainability agenda, proper management of refrigerants becomes a critical area of focus - particularly in reducing the environmental impacts of cooling systems. This half-day seminar aims to raise awareness and educate professionals on best practices for refrigerant recovery, recycling, and safe disposal, aligning with national policies and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) goals.
The seminar will feature expert presentations on refrigerant lifecycle management, the impact of Whole Life Carbon in buildings, and Malaysia’s strategy to phase down harmful refrigerants such as HCFCs and HFCs. It will also showcase Daikin Malaysia’s Refrigerant Recovery and Reclamation (RRP) Program, conducted in collaboration with Iwatani and supported by DOE, as a practical model of industry commitment to climate responsibility.
Participants will gain valuable insight into: • Current and upcoming refrigerant regulations • Sustainable refrigerant technologies • Government incentives for energy-efficient cooling systems • The role of refrigerant recovery in meeting net-zero building targets
This seminar is targeted at IEM members, consulting engineers, building and facility managers, environmental officers, and university students eager to understand and implement climate conscious solutions in HVAC and building services.
A site visit to the ASLC (Advanced Smart Learning Centre) will provide participants with a hands-on view of recovery and reclamation technologies in action.
