Who Should Attend?
All graduate members with more than 3 years’ experience are encouraged to attend the workshop and to apply for the Professional Interview thereafter to become Corporate Member of IEM (MIEM), which is a gateway towards Professional Engineer in Malaysia and International PE/ APEC/ ASEAN Engineer Register.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the workshop, the participants should: • Have clear understanding of the requirements for PI submission • Be able to complete the frameworks for the Training & Experience Report as well as Technical Annexe (for further elaboration and submission).
BIODATA OF SPEAKERS
1) Ir. Lee Cheng Pay
Ir. Lee Cheng Pay had dedicated his career to Engineering Consultancy for the last 13 years upon his graduation in University Malaysia. He had established his technical skills in various projects by having vast exposure in many large scales electrical system. He had involved himself in various types of industries including residential, factories, shopping complex, data centre, government project, office building, renewable energy plant, institutional building, theme park, airport and hospital.
He is one of the founders of Duriane Professional Sdn Bhd and currently service in the company as director. Duriane was formed in January 2011 to provide Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Consulting services by providing thorough design, accurate & clear drawings, specifications and knowledgeable review of construction. Our capabilities stretch from conventional buildings, green& energy efficiency projects to renewable energy and specialized industrial buildings.
One of the most interesting things for him has been meeting various people in the engineering fraternity thru the institution of engineers, Malaysia. Ir. Lee is someone active, active in the engineering community. He is elected as Council Member in IEM, which also serving as member in standing committee of activity (act); and admission and practical training (apt). In APT, he is also the member of Membership Drive Promotion (MDP) and Membership Application Board (MAB). Other than above, Ir. Lee is also the chairman of Electrical Engineering Technical Division (EETD) in IEM.
2) Ir. Pan Chee Chin
Ir. Pan Chee Chin graduated with a Bachelor of Civill Engineering (Hons.) degree from Universiti Malaya in 2000 and has been active in engineering consultancy works for the past 24 years. He is a Professional Engineer with Practising Certificate (PEPC) and currently a Director with Perunding ZKR Sdn Bhd., a Civil & Structural Consultancy firm which was incorporated in 1994.
He has extensive engineering experience in project master planning and feasibility studies, conceptual to detailed engineering design as well as project management for various types of large scales infrastructural works in roads / highways, development projects and public transportation. His involvement includes earthworks planning, hydrological & hydraulics studies for drains and rivers, water and sewerage works, services relocation and now focus on roads and highways planning, design and implementation.
Ir. Pan is also an active member in both IEM and BEM. He is currently the Chairman of Membership Applications Board (MAB) of IEM, member in Admission and Practical Training (APT) Standing Committee, PI Development Committee and IEA Agreements Registration & Administration Committee of IEM.
