SYNOPSIS
The Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) is a component of the whole asset integrity management. The RBI procedures grant a reasonable base for inspection of projects and efficient tools to support the operation. This session top give an overview of RBI from the perspective of offshore structures.
Risk-based Inspection (RBI) proves to be a feasible strategy for applying an assessment process that delivers to maintenance actors to assess the probability of risk level, the effect of failure, and actions leading to risk management of structures. There are various ways to implement RBI procedures, which offer encouraging advancements to change structures maintenance management.
BIODATA OF SPEAKER
Ir. Azhari Haron, C.Eng, C.MarEng, MIMarEST, is a Chartered Engineer with over 21 years of professional experience in engineering, project management, and asset integrity across onshore and offshore sectors.
A graduate of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (B.Eng. Civil Engineering, 2004), he has extensive involvement throughout project life cycles, including feasibility studies, design, fabrication, commissioning, operations, and audits. He is a Chartered Engineer with the UK Engineering Council and a Chartered Marine Engineer with IMarEST. Ir. Azhari also contributes academically as an Adjunct Lecturer and Expert Panel Member at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, reflecting his commitment to both industry and education.
