SYNOPSIS

With the recent requirement of clean energy, reduce emission to achieve net zero carbon emission, there is a trend to implement carbon capture, storage and utilization (CCUS). One of the vital infrastructures to support this shift is transfer of CO2 through pipeline as it is the most efficient means of transportation. In term of design and operation, CO2 pipeline has various similarities and distinct difference compared to other pipeline, especially hydrocarbon pipeline. This webinar session is intended to improve industry awareness, understanding and knowledge on technical design and operation of CO2 pipeline. It will also provide insight and on CO2 pipeline infrastructure data and correcting several misconceptions related to CO2 pipeline.  It is suitable for engineering student, graduate engineer or even experience engineers who are having interest in designing CO2 pipeline.


BIODATA OF SPEAKER

I Wayan Eka Putra is currently Staff Pipeline Engineer, in Upstream Development, PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd. With over 25 years of experience, he is Technical Authority (TA) for Pipeline and Discipline Resource Person (DRP) for Offshore Pipeline and Geotechnical Skill Group, trainer at Institute Technology PETRONAS (INSTEP), Adjunct Lecturer at University Technology PETRONAS (UTP) and patent inventor for 2 nos PETRONAS patent. He is also active actively involve as committee in International Standard Development such as ISO and IOGP JIP 33, international conference committee such as OTC Asia, IPTC, APCC, MECOC, Static Arabia. He has published and presented more than 20 international papers, editorial reviewer for SPE Journal and committee/judge member for several SPE Award.
