SYNOPSIS
The workshop will cover the following:
• Filling up application forms • Guidance on filling up Training & Experience Report– Portfolio of Evidence (Form IEM PI A401) • Guidance on preparing Technical Annexe • Professional Interview Tips & Process
Who Should Attend?
All graduate members with more than 3 years’ experience are encouraged to attend the workshop and to apply for the Professional Interview thereafter to become Corporate Member of IEM (MIEM), which is a gateway towards Professional Engineer in Malaysia and International PE/ APEC/ ASEAN Engineer Register.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the workshop, the participants should:
• Have clear understanding of the requirements for PI submission • Be able to complete the frameworks for the Training & Experience Report as well as Technical Annexe (for further elaboration and submission).
BIODATA OF SPEAKER
1) Ir. Dr. Lee Yun Fook
Ir. Dr. Lee Yun Fook graduated from UTM with Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering with 1st Class honour in 2003, Master of Civil Engineering in 2004 and Engineering Doctorate Degree in 2016. He started his career with Sepakat Setia Perunding Sdn Bhd (SSP) as a Graduate Engineer in 2005. Currently he is the Executive Director of SSP.
Ir. Dr. Lee is currently the Chairman of IEM Professional Interview Development Sub Committee. He was the Honorary Treasurer, Council member, Excomm member of IEM. In addition, Dr Lee has previously served as mentor in IEM Log Book Scheme, assessor and interviewer under IEM conventional & enhanced PI system. Ir Dr Lee is also the panel of Professional Competency Examination (PCE) under BEM.
2) Ir. Ng Yong Kong
Ir. Ng Yong Kong, is a PEPC and has a B.Eng. (Hons. in Mech.) from University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur and an MBA (Hull, UK). He had worked as an industrial then facilities and production engineer in a HVAC factory and also as a System & Application Engineer in two major chiller manufacturers, an air diffusion and a Control company.
He is currently the Council and Excomm member (Mechanical Representative) for the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia was ASHRAE Director and Regional Chair (DRC) for Region XIII 2016-2019. He is also the Council Member of the Malaysia Green Building Council and is a voting member of ASHRAE CEC.
