SYNOPSIS

Scope 3 value chain greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions are indirect emissions that occur in an organization’s value chain as a result of activities that the organization is involved in. The talk will cover details of this type of emissions and the current standards and guidelines that is available and being adopted globally. The talk will also cover on the challenges in quantification of Scope 3 emissions and how to address these challenges.


BIODATA OF SPEAKER

Ir Thayananthan Balakrishnan has over 18 years of experience in the area of Carbon management advisory. In addition, his experience in chemical plant operations management & technical services has enabled him to execute Carbon reduction advisory work for various operating facilities in the chemical and oil & gas industry. He is currently a committee member of the IEM Chemical Engineering Technical Division (CETD), a Corporate Member of IEM & a registered Professional Engineer with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
