SYNOPSIS

Participants gain comprehensive knowledge of loading equipment like excavators and shovels, including their characteristics, attachments, digging motions, and loading mechanisms. Additionally, the talk covers crucial aspects of hauling equipment through truck capacity, sizing, and cycle time considerations, culminating in an exploration of shovel-truck system planning to optimize efficiency and project success.
BIODATA OF SPEAKER
Dr. Meisam Saleki
With over 12 years of experience in the mining industry, Meisam Saleki is a highly motivated mining engineer with a strong academic foundation. During his tenure as a professional mining engineer in Iranian mining industries, he gained extensive practical expertise, acquiring a deep understanding of realworld challenges.
This practical knowledge complements his academic background, including a Ph.D. in Mining Engineering with a focus on surface mining design, optimization, and minerals economics. Currently, he is a lecturer at the School of Materials and Minerals Resources Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and teaches mining engineering related courses.
