As the growing demand on 24x7, always ON, critical facilities have been challenging the designer and application engineer on the option to get the best efficiency while maintaining sustainability in technology advancement. In this technical seminar, the speakers will share the options of better design and allow participants to understand ways of optimization from energy efficiency, space saving, and greener while ensuring up time remained.


BIODATA OF SPEAKER

1) MR. JASON LIM,

Mr. Jason Lim is Field Application Manager, East Asia of Eaton Singapore. Jason has over 12 years of experience specializing in Data Centres, Critical Facilities & Infrastructure. Jason lead a team of Technical Engineers across East Asia countries covering Hyperscale Colocation Providers, Internet Giant and Service Provider in providing Engineering Solution. As subject matter expert on Critical Power Services, he work closely with Regional Country teams and partners in designing and optimizing critical power in Data Centre and Critical Facilities.

Jason graduate from University of Sunderland with Bachelor of Hons Electrical & Electronic. He is a Technical Expert in Lithium-Ion Batteries for UPS Application & Protection in Data Centers, and well verse in AC Power Product and Uptime Tier Design.


2) MR. MOHD SYAKIR

Mohd Syakir is Sr Field Application Engineer for Eaton Bussmann. Syakir has over 10 years of experience in electrical engineering. In current role Syakir responsible for providing technical advice, design and proposal for Bussmann electrical over current protection solution for southeast Asia region.

Syakir graduate with bachelor’s degree of Electrical Power from University Tenaga Nasional and master’s in Petroleum Engineering from University Teknologi Malaysia.


3) MR. LIAM YAP

Liam Yap is a Senior Manager with Datumstruct Technology. Liam has over 10 years of experience in Data Center specialized in remote management and also a certified trainer for CAD, CAM, and CAE tools. His expertise extends into the realm of green grid data center management tools, reflecting his commitment to sustainable and efficient data center operations. Earlier in year 2023, Liam led a team of 5,adapting Eaton’s solution to assist a military force data centre operation to obtain a world class GreenGrid certification.

Liam graduate from University of Oxford with Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.He also received accolades as a Data Centre Management Planning, Deployment & Support Specialist from Cambridge University.
