SYNOPSIS

On May 2022, SESIG has conducted a half day course delivered by Ir. Dr. Mohd Fairuz Ab Rahman covering the topic on construction aspects of a new project. Ir Dr. Fairuz clearly highlighted that the OSHA under OSCHIM guidelines will soon require for every employer, self-employed person or principal to conduct a risk assessment in relation to the safety and health risk posed to any person who may be affected by his undertaking at the place of work.

In this talk, Ir. KT Lim will covers the Electrical Engineering aspects of a construction project. Risk assessments in this respect covers all the discipline of Engineering.

The next talk by SESIG will cover the Mechanical Engineering aspects in the construction projects.


BIODATA OF SPEAKER

Ir. KT Lim graduated in B.E (Hons) from University of Malaya in 1979 and M.Sc. (Electrical) from National University of Singapore in 1990. He has extensive experiences in low voltage electrical installations of buildings, industrial, healthcare facilities, and oil and gas industries.

He is actively involved in Malaysian low voltage electrical standard developments, especially low voltage electrical installation standards such as alternate member of MyENC: Malaysian National Electrotechnical Committee, SWO–Ej–TC1: Standard Writing Committee on Electrical Installation, Protection and Insulation, and Technical Committee developing Malaysian standards for healthcare facilities.Moreover, Ir. K.T. Lim is actively involved in electronics, systems and PCB design engineering, as speaker in conferences and course instructor in specialised industrial electrical and electronic engineering.

Besides that, he is a Professional Engineer (Electrical) BEM and also a Corporate Member of IEM and actively involved as;
