SYNOPSIS

If you have ever wondered if TNB is for or against the revolution of EV, here is the chance for you to find out more. In this session, you will be enlightened with how TNB’s support (or opposition) towards EV in their intention to participate in the EV ecosystem, how it relates to TNB sustainability pathways and targets. You will also learn about the basics of EV charging, whether it is really beneficial to put money into your (or the government’s) pockets as opposed to owning an internal combustion engine (ICE) cars. You will also be enlightened on how some of the stakeholders in the industry including an EV coalition and the governments are working together to help nudge this industry into the right direction.

With more than 25 years of experience with TNB in various roles including network planning, load forecasting, business development, enterprise as well as strategy management. Joined the current role as Lead (Internal and External Partnerships) from Program Management Office, Electric Vehicle in July 2022. Traversed several divisions/ entities within the career lifespan including the system planning and development, external assignment to Khazanah Nasional Berhad and TNB subsidiary, TNB Remaco Sdn. Bhd., the ringfenced entity within TNB which was Single Buyer, shared service division and currently in the Strategy and Ventures Division.

Possess strong affinity towards building professional relationship and business development and have been actively involved in transformation initiatives in having a hand to set up and define Single Buyer, the shared service division of TNB namely TNB Global Business Solution and currently heading another major transformation initiative in driving Electric Vehicle initiatives in TNB and the country.
