Introduction

The organising committee plans to have a 2-hour International Women’s day Forum with the Women Engineers audience via an online platform in supporting the International Women’s day theme “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality. The theme aligned with the United Nations Observance of International Women’s Day recognises and celebrates the women who are championing the advancement of transformative technology and digital education.

The main objective of the International Women’s Day 2023 forum and mini carnival
are as follows:

● To commemorate International Women’s Day, celebrated on 8 March annually;
● To promote awareness of the impact of the digital gender gap on widening economic
   and social inequalities;
● To promote empowerment of all women and girls in finding solutions for innovation and
   technology commercialisation

The event will bring together women engineers, technologists, innovators, and entrepreneurs to provide an opportunity to highlight the role of all stakeholders in improving access to digital tools and be followed by a high-level panel discussion forum.


  BIODATA OF SPEAKERS

1. Dr Fairoza Amira Hamzah
Senior AI Engineer, Torum Technology Sdn Bhd

Dr Fairoza is currently working as a Senior AI Engineer at Torum. She previously worked as the Senior Staff Engineer (Data Scientist) in STMicroelectronics, a co-founder in Ever AI Technologies, a Machine Learning Engineer in Vettons and an Assistant Professor at the Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics, Japan. She completed her PhD in Information Science & Control Engineering from Nagaoka University of Technology, Japan. She was also the recipient of the Women in ICT ASEAN awards in 2021 under the Rising Star category. She is also active in community works such as CoronaTracker (Research Lead) and Women in AI (Ambassador of Malaysia). She has recently been awarded the Ambassador of the Year (Runner-up winner) for her active work in Women in AI.


2. Ts. Rozainah Ibrahim
Head of Business Development, CIDB IBS

Ts. Rozainah has a solid 13 years of experience in Management and Civil Engineering. Dynamic and result-oriented, her impressive resume portrays her vast knowledge of Construction Technology, Industrialised Building Systems (IBS) as well as her excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. As part of the pioneering team that started CIDB IBS Sdn Bhd, she continuously drives to boost the Company’s revenue through technology and public relations management techniques. Her in-depth knowledge of corporate and strategic planning has led her to successfully led dynamic teams.


3. Ir. Noor Hafizah Kusnin
Operations Director, AMR Environmental Sdn Bhd

She is a civil & environmental engineer, a multi-discipline entrepreneur and also a speaker, who actively shares her sixteen years of experience as an environmental engineer and her business knowledge with students from universities, colleges and schools nationwide. She is currently serving as the Operations Director of AMR Environmental Sdn Bhd, Operations Director of AMR and Training & Services Sdn Bhd. She is also the founder of Amoranoor®️, a renowned local hijab brand. She is a graduate of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Skudai in Civil Engineering, majoring in Construction Management. She is active as a motivational speaker since 2012. In recent years, she is also been actively involved in mock interviews for university students and is often been invited to the panel for the final year thesis projects. She is also a registered professional engineer, an EIA Consultant under the Department of Environment (DOE) Malaysia, an active member of the Environmental Management Research Association of Malaysia (ENSEARCH) as well as a member of the Institute of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) and Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM). With her vast experience in the environmental engineering field, she is one of the recognised air quality modell experts in Malaysia using the latest world’s leading air dispersion modelling software and has been sharing her knowledge and publishing journals with PhD students from universities. Her business management skills have allowed her to build a group of companies catering to different disciplines under the name of AMR Group. One of her companies under the environmental discipline has achieved a few awards and recognition such as ISO and also Excellence Award from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in 2016. Her companies are actively involved with CSR programs, giving back to society such as the visit to the orphanage, iftar programme with the thesis to house of elderly, a series of programmes with the primary school on environmental awareness and a beach cleaning programme with selected orphanage home. She is the face of her own hijab label as well as the icon of the education website. She had made a few appearances on television programmes, and in newspapers and magazines.


4. Ts Ainarull Assikin Abdul Hadi
Managing Director, Consolidated Legend (M) Sdn Bhd

Ts. Ainarull Assikin is the Managing Director of a G7 contractor company in Malaysia. She graduated with a Master's in Business Administration (Strategic Management) from Azman Hashim International Business School, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. She pursues her PhD at Razak Faculty of Technology and Informatics, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. With 15 years of working experience in construction, business, project management, value engineering, and contract management, she has been invited as an industry speaker for undergraduates and postgraduates’ programmes by UTM, UiTM, Polytechnic and CIDB. She is registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), The Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) and also a Professional Technologist by the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT). She is also a speaker and a certified Niosh & HRD Corp trainer.
