SYNOPSIS

Automated Car Parking System (ACPS) is gaining traction in Malaysia. With the limited space for development within city areas, developers & designers are facing difficulties in achieving the number of carpark required by authorities or even to get more car park spaces for sales purposes. This talk will provide ACPS information for consultants and developer’s in-house engineers/designers in terms of types of ACPS available, benefits of ACPS to the development and basic design requirements for ACPS.

Participants will be able to understand how ACPS works, types of ACPS in the market, considerations and preparation before choosing ACPS for any project, ACPS design requirement and finally the benefits of using ACPS.


BIODATA OF SPEAKER

Ir. YOW KAI YONG

Ir. Yow Kai Yong, is currently the Director for Parktech Solutions Sdn. Bhd. He is one of the pioneers in exploring the Automated Car Parking System (ACPS) business in Malaysia. He is actively involved in providing ACPS solutions and design to developers/clients, consultants and contractors.

Ir. Yow has more than 30 years experience in the construction industry and more than 10 years experience in ACPS. He received his degree in B.Eng (Electrical & Electronic) in 1992 from University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia.

He has worked in various m&e engineering consulting firms before starting his own consulting firm in the year 2000.

Ir. Yow got involved in the ACPS business in 2011 and later started Parktech Solurions Sdn BHd in 2015. He has vast experience in ACPS in terms of design, installation, testing, commissioning of ACPS having completed 5 projects in KL/PJ and being involved in developing designs in more than 50 projects in Malaysia.
