SYNOPSIS
The Paramit Factory, Malaysia, challenges the industrial typology that is too often mired in questions of functionality and cost. The factory’s design is focused on the occupants, some 800 workers who on opening day must have thought they stumbled into a resort.
The entire site is conceived as a forest that penetrates, surrounds and steps over the buildings, maximizing contact with nature. What is now called “the factory in the forest” addresses the unique characteristics of the Malaysian climate and is designed to create maximum energy efficiency and reduce power requirements.
The aim of the visit are as follow:
• To learn about engineering designs for creating maximum energy efficiency for an electronics manufacturing plant • To experience first-hand of an environmental friendly project & its economic benefits • To promote more sustainable & environmental designs in future projects
NOTE: - Limited to 10 participants only - Own Transportation
