SYNOPSIS
Historically, there were early records of mid-air collisions as well as ground accidents in the airspace and airport due to poor air traffic control systems. However, the rate of air traffic control related accidents had reduced significantly in recent years, due to advance engineering designed air traffic control system. Together with highly trained air traffic controllers, the importance of advance engineering equipment supporting air traffic control system in maintaining safety in the sky and the ground is crucial. In addition, controllers used engineering technology to direct aircraft efficiently with minimal delay, managing the flow of aircraft into and out of airport space, guiding pilots for take-off and landing, monitoring aircraft as they travel through the sky indicates the complexities of the air traffic control systems. During this visit, participants will witness how exactly controllers interface with the advanced air traffic control system to ensure public safety are maintained.
Note: • The visit is strictly limited to 35 participants registered on a first-come, first-served basis. • Coach is provided
