SYNOPSIS
In the past few years, TNB has been instructed by the Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) to take over electricity supply operations in the some Public Distribution License (PDL) area. TNB experienced difficulties in taking over operations at PDL area due to the non-standard electrical supply scheme design and electrical equipment. Therefore, these PDL’s owner experienced high cost of improving the system to comply with TNB’s standard specifications. TNB's standard specifications must be complied first by the licensees to ensure that there are no safety issues during operation and maintenance by TNB as well as the availability of equipment or appliances required in the event of a power outage that will contribute to the repair time. On 25th February 2020, ST issued a directive to TNB to ensure that each LAP/PDL application complies with the application conditions. Among them is the Electricity Supply Application Handbook (ESAH) especially involving supply schemes to multitenant development either at the Development Order / Kebenaran Merancang (KM) stage or electricity supply application stage Therefore, this webinar session is to explain the fundamentals design scheme and process for PDL application.
